Welcome to the Toowoomba and District Multiple Birth Association

The Toowoomba and District Multiple Birth Association Inc. was established in 1976 and our aims are –

1. To be a self-help organisation for multiple birth families, enabling them to exchange information and offer mutual support.
2. To provide information, assistance and support for multiple birth families.
3. To be a non- profit, non-political and non-sectarian organisation, co-operating with other organisations having related benefits.

We have been helping the community for 30 years and are solely run by unpaid volunteers. We receive no government assistance, and our only revenue is from fundraising, membership fees and donations.

The national organisation that exists today had humble beginnings as a "mother’s of twins" club based in Newcastle NSW formed in 1969. By 1974, this one club had grown requiring the formation of a national governing body to support the many local clubs all over Australia. Today there are multiple birth clubs in every State and Territory of Australia with membership of around 5000 families.
